36th meeting of the Standing Committee on National and European Administration

Dear Colleagues,
This is to invite you to the 36th meeting of the Standing Committee on National and European Administration.
The meeting will take place in Brussels, at the European Economic and Social Committee, room VM3, 2, rue van Maerlant on 6 October 2011. It will start at 09:00 and end at 17:00 at the latest.
An area map is enclosed for information.
Interpretation has been requested to and from French, English, German, Italian, Spanish: and Swedish. We have also requested the possibility to speak in but not listen to Danish, Portuguese and Greek.
We expect participating unions to cover all travel and subsistence costs of their representatives.
Committee members from EU countries and EU applicant countries under 100% on the ‘5 band’ index, are referred to the attached ‘rules governing financial assistance’.
Should you require accommodation, a list of hotels offering preferential tariffs to the EPSU/ETUC is attached.
A draft meeting agenda will be sent shortly.
The 36th meeting of the Standing Committee will elect a new President and possibly a new Vice President. I refer you to the attached Procedures for elections of president & vice-presidents in EPSU NEA Standing Committee (document being translated).
Last, please fill in and return the attached participation form by 1 September 2011 at the latest.

We kindly request you to consider reserving the date of 05 October 2011 for the joint LRG / NEA meeting on lobbying the European Parliament which will also take place in Brussels.

5 October 2011 – EPSU Lobby Seminar
Please note that the NEA Committee meeting will be preceded on 5 October by an EPSU LRG/NEA lobby seminar, at the International Trade Union House, Brussels, to which you are invited.
