Suez negotiating group meets again

The union group had prepared its position on the Group's employment policy and discussed the proposals with representatives of management, including a HR director from SES (Suez Energy Services - GTI, Axima, Fabricom, Elyo, Inneo...) Management gave a first reaction and will come back with written comments.

Management also gave a reaction to the proposals made on profit-sharing and the company's wage policy. On profit-sharing, management has concerns that the longer-term proposal, needs approval from Gas de France. On remuneration management argued it is open to discuss inflation compensation and taking account of productivity developments. It introduced several qualifying statements though. It also suggested it is welcome to address low pay.
There was a brief exchange of views regarding the merger following the legal case won by the European Works Council of Gas de France. Management confirmed that the decision on the merger will now be postponed till March/ April 2007.
