End to the Dutch Polder Model: actions between 13 September and 2 October

The government has opened a large scale attack on the welfare state. The social security system is dismantled and early retirement schemes are threatened. The Dutch government has further said that it will not declare collective agreements binding that do not comply with the government's zero wage increase dictat. The unions have stopped all participation in labour market institutions. Actions and strikes will take place between 13 September ending with a large demonstration 2 October.
